The ancestors of the current owners, brothers Ruud and Henk Eisenga, started out in business as Binnenschiffer<\/a>.<\/p>\n Im Jahr 1760 wurde der Compagnonsvaart zwischen Mittelfriesland und Drenthe in den Niederlanden gegraben. Um 1870 begannen die Eisengas, im eigenen Namen Butter und K\u00e4se zu transportieren, die sie an Lebensmittelh\u00e4ndler und Milchverk\u00e4ufer entlang der Strecke verkauften. So entstand der erste K\u00e4sehandel. Als das Binnenschifffahrtssystem Ende des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts ein Ende fand, widmete sich Eisenga ab 1898 vollst\u00e4ndig dem Handel mit K\u00e4se.<\/p>\n Henk and Ruud Eisenga are the fifth generation to take control of the helm of this cheese wholesale business.
